One of the most popular – and most mistreated landscape plants is the Crape Myrtle. We finally found a 4-year old specimen that had not yet been pruned! This video shows how to give a good first pruning to a young crape myrtle that is now well-established. Pruning is done while the tree/shrub is dormant.
Realize that once properly shaped, it needs only minimal annual maintenance.
