The native honeysuckle vine (Lonicera sempervirens) is often called trumpet honeysuckle. It should not be confused with the non-native, invasive bush honeysuckle. Always check the botanical name! Annual pruning eliminates having to do a more drastic renovation pruning every 5-6 years, as renovation pruning results in very few flowers for that year.
