Gaura is a herbaceous perennial plant native to southeastern Texas, Louisiana, and Mexico.  It has become more popular as a garden plant with the introduction of compact cultivars. Common names include bee blossom and wand flower.  It needs attention at least three times a year - but none of those are laborious.  Stay tuned for part 2 & part 3 later in the year.
