John Bartram (1699-1777), was an American botanist, horticulturist, and explorer, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for most of his life. Swedish botanist and taxonomist Carl Linnaeus said he was the "greatest natural botanist in the world."

John Bartram collected, propagated, and wrote about native North American plants that were undescribed by European botany, including many plants that remain popular today in gardens and landscapes around the world.

Join us for this portrayal of John Bartram! It's a must see for every gardener or anyone with an interest in gardening! Open to the public, as long as you have purchased your ticket in advance.

Kirk Brown is OUTSTANDING and you won't think for a moment that he's NOT John Bartram!
