Cherry Laurel, sometimes also called English Laurel is Prunus laurocerasus. Dwarf/compact varieties include the 'Otto Luyken' and 'Schipkaensis'/'Schip' laurel varieties. Be sure to download the handout to learn to distinguish the Prunus laurocerasus from other types of laurels, as some parts of laurel shrubs are highly toxic to humans and animals.
