Ornamental grasses vary in height from those that reach-up to 15 feet tall to lower growing grasses that are used as ground covers. Grass forms vary from low mounds to fountains and tall verticals. This video includes Prairie Dropseed grass and Indian grass.
In east TN, the general rule is to prune ornamental grasses in late winter or early spring, just as they are beginning to show signs of new growth.
