Professional and informal educators alike are invited to purchase tickets to attend, GrowTeachKnox, a program scheduled for Saturday, March 28 (8:30am-1:30pm) that is dedicated to engaging students with the outdoors.
Local environmental, gardening, and education professionals will provide hands-on learning for educators to better integrate lessons in the classroom with nature. Educators will leave the day with the confidence to take their students outside, allowing students to more tangibly connect what they are learning to what they see in the wider world.
GrowTeachKnox SESSION DESCRIPTIONS:
Sessions will cover sustaining school garden programs, outdoor learning for students with disabilities and behavioral disorders, incorporating technology into outdoor learning, and composting and waste reduction. More detailed session descriptions coming soon!
